Liability Waiver (updated October 1, 2025)
Participants in orienteering events should be aware that, like any sport, participation carries potential risks of injury or death. I am physically fit, adequately prepared for the competition, and fully aware of the risks involved in this event.
As a participant in the Suncoast Orienteering (SOAR) event, I confirm that I am at least 18 years old and have the full legal authority to register for events on my behalf.
I hereby waive and release all rights and claims against Suncoast Orienteering and its members and associates, including Orienteering USA, public and private land-owners, lessees, subsidiaries, affiliates, assigns, representatives, and successors, and all other sponsors, persons, and entities associated with this event, that may arise from my participation in it.
I affirm that all registration information is accurate and complies with the terms of this waiver. By registering for a SOAR event, I acknowledge and agree to the terms of this waiver and will return all rental equipment before leaving the event site.
I acknowledge that the course and map fees are nonrefundable and nontransferable.
I understand I can opt out of future emails and/or texts from Suncoast Orienteering.
